“When asked how he knew what needed to be done in our schoolhouse, Tim replied, ‘The building told me what to do’.  Any kind of work in a 150 year-old stone building demands extraordinary precision, skill, and sensitivity.  Again and again in making decisions Tim thought about aesthetics as he and his men carefully adapted nine-foot high quarter-cut oak paneling, originally made for the interior of a bank, to fit the interior of our stone school.  Upon completion, all the woodwork looked original.   Thanks to Tim and his men our historic building has been preserved, and the interior space enhanced to serve our needs, both practical and aesthetic.” - F.M.

 

We are proud of the custom cabinets, custom green furniture and interior finishes designed and crafted in our own home-based cabinetry shop over the last 15 years. We believe that if the elements we touch and use every day in our homes are carefully planned, lovingly designed and beautifully made, they will bring us years of pleasure and practicality.

 

Custom Cabinets and Interior Finishing

Our portfolio spans pretty much everything from bespoke custom cabinets in kitchens, bedrooms, baths and libraries to coffered ceilings, wainscoting, mantles, doors, trim and fitted furniture throughout the home. We take great pleasure in upgrading or re-creating living spaces for clients looking for increased functionality, architectural enhancements and/or revitalization.

 

 

Custom Green Furniture

Our custom green furniture is designed around the personal aesthetics and practical needs of our clients and includes beds, armoires, tables, benches and bookcases. They are one-of-a-kind hand crafted and finished pieces.

 

We only use Earth Friendly and Non-toxic Materials

Several years ago we switched to non-toxic wood finishes and paints in our shop and most recently have restricted our use of MDF, plywood and veneers to materials with no added formaldehyde or toxic glues. The result is a much healthier shop for our cabinetmakers and a much safer product for our clients.

We use reclaimed or FSC woods and veneers whenever possible and are moving steadily towards 100% sustainably harvested woods.
